Ever blow by a Weigh Station when it was open?

    It was a flatbed load. loaded, strapped and tarped. drop and hook (ha). can't move it and of course no scale within a 100 miles. (probably on purpose).

    Pffft, it's legal, it's rolling.
    and yes, (minus the fact you'd be overweight gross on the interstate's) 12-36-34 is legal in colorado. And you're allowed up to 85k gross on non-interstates. So if you can get there without an interstate, totally legal load.

    flatbed. I can take 47,700 full of fuel, and over 48k with less fuel and still be legal. They weren't close.

    Interesting that secondaries have higher weight limits than interstates. Never knew that.

    Here in PA I often see a lot of intimidating signs that say "Bridge Limit (x) Tons" as if you can't take a truck that way, and then as a sheepish addendum they add on a second sign ("except combination vehicles, 40 tons") even the FONT is smaller!

    Always kinda makes me chuckle as I blow by. (We have Household trailers so we have a ready excuse for going into & out of residential areas. Might not fly with a JB hunt pulling a shipping container. Just FYI)

    I have never blown by a chicken coop, but i have several times in Banning. Been in a long line out in the road, and they close the scales, so i politely excused myself from being a traffic accident, or having to wait as they closed the coop. I never received, a ticket.

    Me too. In 2015.
    In my very first trip, I was hauling roughly about 1500 kgs in Saskatchewan and I've had a same thought like you.
    Flew.
    A cop pulled me over, escorted me to the weigh station.

    Did the highest level of inspection.

    Didn't give a ticket, though but a notice as I explained why I ####ed up due to the sign and my English probably.

    Since then I'm extremely careful to not to bypass a weigh station. If not sure, I would rather pull into an empty scale.

    In Canada, they always chase you down.

    Yeah not on purpose tho. I wasn’t paying attention up in Cecilton MD and blew past the inspection station lot full of state boys luckily they didn’t come after me. I am much more careful now.

    Yep, back in '11, drove a truck and trailer from Colo. Springs to Homestead AFB outside Miami. Both belonged to the Air Force, I was just the hired monkey. Both were plated PROPERTY US AIR FORCE. I had a 3 ring binder that contained exactly 4 sheets of paper: Trailer Reg., Tractor Reg., Permission to drive letter with photocopy of my CDL at the bottom, letter from the USAF stating "Do Not Delay" in some such words. Only stopped at 3 scales the entire drive: Limon, Co. (She apologized for stopping me), Kanorado, Ks (they apologized for stopping me) and an Ag. station in Fla. only because I was in the wrong lane. Drove by every other scale. I think I documented part of this trip on here.

    Connecticut scale NB 91, drove right by... had police escorts so I didn't have to go in...
