Looking at going with them as a husband/wife team. Wife has been driving a year and has all endorsements + TWIC. I should be done with CDL school by end of September at which time we want to team and OD is at the top of the list.
Any personal input would be great! I've already read all the other OD threads here, but I'll always take all the info I can get!
I've seen numbers for teaming with them of $150k-$225k combined. Are your numbers close to that?
Anyone hire out of CDL school to Old Dominion and teaming?

Check out Indiana Mikes R and L thread . His wife and he are pulling 2 grand a week each on a dedicated lane
Bass311 Thanks this. -
Yeah I have been following that one as well. We are considering them but I need to make sure they'll work with us since I'll be new. Their site states 1 year of experience needed, but we've learned that doesn't always apply if you are a desirable candidate. Both of us are no criminal history and clean MVR, so they may work with us. I'm 38 and she's 40.
Need4Speed and line Thank this. -
And they’ve been hurting like everyone else especially in the team division. I trained my wife at a company that required two years experience when she was fresh out of school, they made the exception for me . That kind of money and you can bank it all and retire in 10 years !

Good info, and that's what we hope we can do with whomever we go with. That 10 year plan is EXACTLY what we want to do!line Thanks this.

Good deal . Shoot Mike a message. He probably knows someone who knows someone . And he’s experienced with all the LTL carriers

Thank you. I will do that.

Hubby and I went to the DC and talked to the boss personally. They said they'd consider us when we got out of school, but at that moment they weren't hiring teams. We will go back when we graduate. I have heard that is can take a while to get hired on there, because it has to go through corporate. Even if the dc boss says yes, it can take 6 to 8 weeks. Good luck and I hope you two have a blast!
