what to do when you have no employment history

Not much they can learn, but since it's all you have they may look. Some go back 7, some 10.

 

They are interested in all of your work history. That being said, how much they scrutinize it depends on the kind of driving you'll be doing. If they are going to do a full background check, odds are they'll call everyone your list. If you're going for a basic job, no hazmat etc. they'll probably just call the last job you had on your resume. If you have an incident on your DAC, they may call the company in question to see if they can get more info on it.

If the company still has them, they are unlikely to want to go digging through their files to verify you were there unless they like and remember you. Your DAC (should) only go back ten years and odds are if you had a clean record, your termination from that long ago might not even show up.

 

Goning to start looking for a small refer outfit to go with. From Florida no home time required really. No csa file per fmcsa so no score lol it's been that long I guess lol. Dac has a company reporting back in the day a company I never worked for fmcsa did an investigation and sent me a letter for my records to help with it saying I never worked for them and they should ignore if it comes up with background. Just don't wanna deal with the drama of the whole dac B's. What ever happened to doing your DMV med card and drug test and your on the road lol. I will find them lol just gotta look

 

There's still places that do that, but you probably don't want to work for them.
