That’s the worst case I’ve ever seen.Im sure it can be fixed. When installing air bags there is a lot of wiggle room . Looks like they have been put in somewhat twisted look at them from the front to see if they look as bad . Like Quality Truck said it’s got to be bushings. Buying spring is a waste of money unless it’s broken. Sounds like your mechanic doesn’t have proper tool and wants the job and has no problem charging you more $ .I’d also check axle torsion bar the bushings are probably shot also. Each axle has one. You probably need both torsion bars and 4 spring bushings. You can change torsion ( I think that’s what they’re called) yourself may need to drop or raise air ride get old ones off and to align new one to bolt it in. I would use ATRO parts they have polyurethane bushings for same $ as original Their anti- walk bushing solve the problem your having. I bought mine at Fleetpride had them installed at shop by Pilot In Glendale Ky I-65 exit 86 William on second shift is one of best I’ve found. Honest won’t rip you off . They have special air tool to change spring bushings. I would change other 3 airbags also. Get rid of those plastic base ones they leak .You can change them yourself disconnect air line remove 3 bolts jack up frame a little to get old bag out put in new bag center bolts . TIP - buy new fittings and Compression Ferrellls for each bag and air line , use pipe dope on fitting threads before putting on airbag . It’s not hard you’ll save at least $300 labor. Only bushings left is 5th wheel might as well check that too.

Axle alignment could be a factor as well.
Should be done yearly. This is a freightliner thing also.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
That reminds me!!! I have never aligned mine in 9 yrs!!! Need to get kingpins next project

The last alignment ??? I’ve put 1.2 mil since I got it!!!

Hello, was wondering if you ever found out what was the issue? I have the same issue, same side but 10x worse. I had it straightened out but didn't do alignment. I did pos trip and that's when I noticed it.. I spoke to an alignment shop and he said a out of alignment wouldn't cause something like that. He said it's either bushings or something is loose.
Any update would be much appreciated... -
Someone already mentioned that Chad guy in Kansas City. I don't remember all the details but has do to with the Ubolts are lose and stretched. It a common problem most people don't know how to fix but Chad can. Something like you put air bag back in correct place put new Ubolts back on. You can't refuse the old one's because they stretch out and will never hold enough to stop it from happening again. Their might be for to the answer but Chad at MD Alignment can explain it and fix it.
NorCalLivn Thanks this. -
nope. i replaced u bolts. air bag and leaf spring in on shot. lasted about 3 months and is leaning. i give up
-
Man, that sucks. You've done replaced the whole side. The bad thing about cascadia's is that they don't have the center dowel on the bottom of the axle to keep it centered, they only come on the top side.. Mine is horrible...
