Not sure if it would be helpful, but if you have your own hosting account you can use a free cloud that most of them offer called OwnCloud, usually they'll install it for you.

You can have a packet already uploaded as a zip file, but not downloadable or findable. When you need to send it to someone you make a dedicated download link for someone with password, send it to them, then kill the link once they have a copy.

Keeps your file from being snatched by someone, but makes it easy to send someone a secure temporary link to private info. The regular cloud providers (Dropbox, etc) have already been caught peeping in accounts, this one is your own. Hosting might cost 50/year with a domain name, and you can use it for other stuff as well.

yes hosts are picky about that. however I use a vps server I pay for the space I have full control over everything and its not that expensive . you can also create as many websites as you want add as many domain names as you want. worth looking into.

 

You can log into your cPanel and see if they offer OwnCloud in the software installs. I think as long as you're not file-sharing porn or copyrighted stuff you'll be under the radar, they're busy putting those kinds of fires out.

Also, some hosts just suck. I find mine on webhostingtalk.com, learned to avoid EIG hosts from reading there as well. EIG astroturfs pretty thoroughly so it's easy to get stuck with one of theirs.

I am looking at going VPS next time.

Yes this does happen but that's not double brokering.

I don't pull much for LS but I treat them like any other broker, if I don't get what I want I don't pull the load. I'm not "for" double brokering but with LS as long as I'm getting what I want it doesn't matter to me.
