12 a hour for that high level effort around hazmat? No thank you. 40 dollars a hour and OT beyond 40 at time and half.
I think I best just shut up, I get nasty when I think a McDee's french fry cook taking in 15 a hour and no mental stress makes more than a carefully probed and stamped hazmat CDL professional hauling materials capable of killing a whole town in the night.
12 a hour. Im insulted.

It is insulting and the problem is there will be a line of drivers to take it. This job is in Los Angeles, no less.
I was willing to take a pay cut to work days and be home daily, but not a 50% paycut. They should be embarrassed offering $12/hr, but it’s the typical supply and demand. They will fill it at that wage, sadly.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
A lobster boil in BFE Mississippi is more like a crawfish festival.rustyswife, jammer910Z and TennMan Thank this.

You said it man. I think a good starting point for a hazmat job is somewhere around $30 hr. I hate to see people take less. $12hr is really a type of slavery. You would never work yourself to a better condition in life at that rate.I bet the people that work above the drivers their are glad to keep 'em down.

THAT can be solved easily. Drivers pool the money on the entire fleet. Buys the board owners clear out. POOF. OUT. GIT.
Now we see how those new COOP Fleet owners sort out the pay eh? -
Target's new starting wage, nationwide, is going to be $15 an hour. Target's move to $15 an hour 'blows up' this myth about raising minimum wage
-
12/hr in LA? I see a tanker job waiting to get filled starting at 75k a year that’s home every night and five days a week. Do you have experience?
-
Wanna bet?

It's easy for them to say it's a myth, because they've not implemented the policy yet.
Wait and see.
There will be less employees in the store to help customers.
I'd bet there will be a bigger push to Self Checkout lanes, as well.
We won't talk about retail price increase to offset the wage bump.
Will they lessen benefits to help pay for it( if they got any to begin with)?
It didn't work out well in Seattle.
The company is not gonna just double it's payroll because they're nice guys.
Shareholders won't have it.Coover Thanks this. -
And how long before they go the way of sears? And sears actually sold decent tools, what's target have, toilet paper? Maybe they'll be able to make it work but let's just say I'm skeptical.
