So I don't create another thread I will just say it here. I have left werner. I had enough of their s*** so now I need to find another driving job. Will be trying to find local first but would be fine with home weekly. Currently Schneider and I think Crete will take me. But probably don't want to go with another mega. So I'm asking @Chinatown for help. Sorry for bothering you again. And for those who asked more about why I left werner is that it was because my dispatcher was a **** and that's all I will say on that

I think the next job you chose stay for 2-3 years because the companies that are actually worth staying on usually require less then 5 employers in your job history. Your about to be at 3 in less then a year. As far as local work goes, if you live near any major rails you could be home daily and make around 20 an hour doing intermodal.

One thing that probably will hurt me is that I haven't touched a stick in over a year. That probably can be fixed in a couple days though ImI guessing

I wouldnt worry too much about it, and if you intend to do work in the city or around town it will come back to you even faster. Have you looked at any LTL companies by chance? They pay a little more then intermodal but you might have to do driver unload. Right now a lot of carriers need drivers for their Dollar General/ Tree accounts. Some will be directly to the store where backing can be tricky and some are actually to the distribution center.

I tried dollar general at werner for a day. The 2 stores I went to was a easyish back but unloading on the other hand I can't do. It's more when unloading stuff like dog food. That s*** weighs a ton

    Turn N Burn Thanks this.

hahaha I dont blame you man, hmm the only other thing i can really reccomend do is linehaul, some companies will pay by hourly and some have fixed rates
    example
company A, mileage pay + dock work
company B, fixed rated, NY to OH 220$ round trip.
    both home daily.

oh wait, im an idiot. i forgot, schnieder actually has an okay tanker pay package. If you dont mind getting your tanker and hazmat you stay with them for 2-3 years and then find a nice little outfit to stay with for 10+ years. i know some guys who did just that and make a decent living. save your receits. schnieder will pay you pack for your hazmat. one down side. waiting those 2-3 weeks for TSA to send back your approval.
