I am not attacking.Just love my life as a trucker and i am trying to share how good it is.And how the business is great.
This forum has alot of hate towards trucking,so i try to bring some light in about trucking being a great thing.

I am sorry for his mis perceptions.

Well I also love the company I work for...I Just hope the boss man doesnt retire anytime soon...I have been with him for 3 years and I am 5th in senority out of 6 drivers. we just dont have turn over here...we have insurance and all the other beenies too...we run large car trucks that all run over triple digits however no driver has had a speeding ticket in the time i have been there..we HUMP NO FRIEGHT..in fact very rarely haul food products....we do not spend 2 or 3 weeks on the road either...we go out and we come back home have only been out 5 days once and it was because the state of Wisconsin ran out of road salt and shut the roads down,,,,i call in I dont have to say this truck # so and so...They know my voice...I have never been happier I truley believe the smaller the company the happier you will be...now In my 21 years out here I have NEVER EVER WORKED for a bottom feeder company...NEVER worked for a company that had over 100 trucks....I paid my dues when i first started,,,I drove a KW cabover for years before i had my first conventional style truck and it was the first volvo;s with the new detroit 60 seires in fact I got it with only 10 miles on it...its still the only NEW truck I have ever had..but you give to get...so I drive an older model pete but its still a nice ride and it gets the job done and me back home..

More power to you, tannermike. I am a rookie and love my job too. :yes2557: Never did anything that gave me so much inner satisfaction in my life. Finally I found something that I enjoy doing and it lets me live the way I want to live. Unfortunatelly I am not young any more... however, I am still healthy and have energy and ability to learn. The beginning is not easy. It takes a looong time, sacrifice, patience and hard work... but that's ok. I do this because I love it. And the more I do it, the better I will become. I am working for Covenant right now. It's not a "great" company. But so what? In my opinion, no big co. is great anyway. My first choice was Roehl. But it didn't work. What I want is to get my experience, one day at a time. And then move to something better. Have been self employed all my life and don't really like to work for any co. :biggrin_25512: It will take some time for me to have my own business again. Must learn first. But that is what I really want, work for myself and have more freedom and control over my job and my life. :biggrin_25519:

Well there you go again....and just how do you know that I spend my time at the truck stops? I said I sit on loads they poorly plan....700 miles in 4 days with no options.....I quess you are so "GREAT" at the game that you can assume what is and what is not? Assuming is bad.
Bitter? Yes I am about alot of things, such as why insurance companies feel that a -newbie- is more insurable than a driver with 8 years a clean MVR that has only gone local as his sin? And why are minorities and immigrants better accepted than us americans?
