Driving a freightliner it is governed at 79 mph. I would have it no other way. Trucks should not be governed below the speed limit.

Which trucks have the best ride? I know every truck is different and much depends on the wheelbase and suspension equipment. A friend of mine told me the Freightliner Columbia has a good ride.

mine is governed at 62, which i think is closer to 61.

This is kind of off the subject of the post, but I would have to say that Volvo's have the best ride. Granted sometimes they ride to good if you ask me. I remember the first time I drove a Volvo through the gorge in WV and couldn't figure out why I kept feeling like I was going to roll over while everyone was flying past. Well when I glanced down at the speedo I was only doing 40 mph. Just about everything on them trucks is on air bags and it makes it harder to feel the road. I've always gotten beaten to death in Columbias for some reasons. I guess it just depends on how they are built and spec'd.
