Anybody know if these are available yet? Better yet has anyone had a chance to look at one in person or know how much they go for? This unit sounds promising but also expensive. Basically any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen them at a few truck stops in the last few weeks, but I have no info either. I would like to know if they are any good as well..
-
How much are they, and what is the info source...also is the info live?

I have a Garmin 200W and it works pretty well. I have custom POI's that warn me about speed/red light camera's as well as low clearances. I think Garmin and Tom Tom are the Ford/Chevy of the GPS world, most extra's are aimed at them. Check out POI factory (google it). You can get truckstops, rest stops, Walmarts ect ect for free to load onto your Garmin or Tom Tom. I back up the GPS with a trucker's atlas and the Q/C.
Don't replace route planning with the GPS!!!! You will get badly hosed, I promise you! -
Still looking for info on release date. I've wore out google looking for release date to no avail. All I read is end of first quarter '09. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't wait for some reviews on this thing. Just hope the price tag aint to high

Talked with NCC the other day. They're manufacturing the trucker's GPS for Goodyear. They told me that they will be releasing the GPS through TA truck stops in April at a price between $350 & $400. We'll see.
hunts2much Thanks this. -
Thanks for the heads up. I've held off buying a gps til this one is released. I just hope it is half as good as it sounds.

It's already in the TA's. I saw it in two TA's last week alone. They have a reg screen and large screen. The box says something about Navteq on it. I'm really interested too, my Garmin is pretty good, but I would like a truck specific unit too.
Somebody hurry up and buy one!
