Need work? South Texas Oilfield hiring like crazy!

Not to resurrect a dead post or anything but I got into oilfield driving about 6 months ago here in Arkansas. The company here has downsized to only 4 rigs. Sent the rest to Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The biggest truck driving service provider was cut out due to safety violations and has shut down completely. Halliburton lost their mud contracts here. Cal frac downsized to 2 frac crews. You can still get in with companies that haul flow back water and production water but I wouldn't mess with it right now. Not here anyway.

 

Always heard the pay for oilfield drivers in Arkansas was weak by industry standards. Any info on that?

 

Your telling me that your drivin oil tankers and ur only getting 4500-5k take home a month??? Ur kiddin me right .. i wouldn't put myself that low even if they paid me a 10k sign on bonus lol..

 

Who are you responding to ? This thread was started seven years ago. The oil patch here in the States has been through at least two swings of boom/bust since then. It helps everyone who will ever read this to pay attention to the time stamps on the individual posts. AND to respond to any post by clicking on the " reply " icon, then "touching" Below the quote to ask any questions or comments you have. Otherwise it makes it hard to understand who, what and why a post was written. Not fussing at anybody, just trying to clarify the situation for everyone's sake.

Great time to be a driver!! Seeing rate increases and bonus increases. Had a field supervisor approach my slip seat, said they were desperate for drivers. Think they are paying a $3500 sign on bonus and just got a 25% rate increase. The company is Badlands here in South TX. This is just one example. Have heard of other companies looking to add company drivers and O/O!

 

There might be a reason why they can't get drivers...
