It seems to add up pretty quick. It really depends on your taste for risk. If you own your rig outright then you probably won't need anywhere near that figure. Usually it's about 5k down on the truck (then whatever you need for trailer arrangements or purchase), 5k for insurance, filings, and tags, usually the truck isn't perfect and you still have to buy parts, maybe tools, tire fund, equipping the truck for your type of freight etc. Then you want to try not to use factoring companies, and brokers have 30-45 days to pay usually so you'd want about 60 days worth of home bills, truck/trailer/insurance payments, fuel, road expenses etc.

You didn't really say if you were looking to do something local or what. That single axle will limit your weight quite a bit for OTR.

It takes at least 3 months of working capital, and three months money for bills at home,......And about 10 grand set aside for breakdowns,...And that is if everything goes well,......

    ok lets see...
    1. 10K in the bank at all times(emergency money) in case you blow a motor or tranny or rear end or u joint/drive line
    2. cargo ins. aint cheap1500-1800 down 550 per mo. on avg.dedpends on what you're hauling.
    3. blow a tire while out on the road 250 thats bucks for the service call (correct me if im wrong on that rate guys) + the tire another 200 bucks
    4. fuel... in my state (today) 2.25 a gal X 150 gal=333.75 or there about per week to run LOCAL
    5. permits my Ca # ran me >>>>fleet size 1 is =120.00 for 1 year p ........ 2-4 units will cost 200.00
6.you say you have a 2 axletruck and want to put a 2 line wet kit on it?
you might want to check into that, all i have EVER seen wet kits on are 3 axles because of the weight. But to each his own i say go for it!
7.If you are gonna run end dump you need to get a 3 axle truck for stablility reasons, longer the frame the better the ride and its more stable when you're dumping
    8. oh dont go forgetting the DMV they want their pound of flesh too, whatever they have on their little fee chart i think its like 1200 for 3-6 months(again correct me if im off on this one too)
Good luck compadre, i found that if i took little bites it was waaaay easier to manage.
    good luck and welcome aboard:biggrin_25525:

Those demolition steel end dumps use the 3 axle. The regular frameless versatile ones all the drivers I seen have the 2 and dont' exceed 24 tons.
