Back when I quit, Conetticut and Virginia had outlawed bird dogs, and I think that's about it. I'm just curious as to what the regs are on them now. Not that I think I'll need one, but a Passport Escort just shouldn't be wasted, ya know?

LMAO
I have got to bone up on my trucker lingo.
When I saw bird dog in the title I couldn't imagine why they would choose to ban the dogs used to hunt pheasant and duck but not other hunting dogs like bloodhounds.

Thanx for the comeback. That explains why I don't hear anyone talking about them on the CB...no one HAS one, or will admit it!

I know 3 people that have been caught.
1. Entered a port of entry in Arizona and they made him park. Cost 1,000.00 and loss of the unit.
2. Found with it on the road and the officer gave a choice. Ticket or run over it. Dead unit.
3. Found during a search of the truck. Seized and fined 1,000.00. -
I find it one of the dumbest laws ever. I heard one trooper say they hated it when the law went into effect. He said they could warn anyone with a detector that there was trouble ahead by turning on their radar/laser and what ever else to let the drivers know to slow down. Beats the heck out of running right into a pileup.
25(2)+2 and squirrellsgnwild Thank this.
