I got to my live delivery at Food Lion about 45 minutes early and I had a very nice surprise.
They said open the doors and drop it in door 6, then go find an empty.
    That made my day.

    That always makes my day.

Edwardsville, found out that the shop here is now closed on Sundays, SoL if you need fluids or DEF. The grill is also closed until further notice. WTG Swift.

    Phoenix terminal.
Delivered that Wal-Mart load yesterday in buckeye. They had no emptied. Spent bout 3 hrs finding one. Sent me to one place that was closed. Spent most of that time waiting on planners to answer phone or message on Qualcomm. Finally drove to here and spoke to someone. He sent me to Albertsons dc which was right around the block from my shipper.
Picked that load up and went to weigh it. Was going to do my ten there but decided since I m only 5 miles away to co.e here since they have me fueling here. Had 5 minute on 70 left.
Now I have just u see 8 hrs to drive to Rancho Cucamonga ca for an 1100 ppt. Then they want me to drop this empty in pomona ca. Then it's home time.
Be back to work on thursday

    Brunswick, GA at the TA.

On my way to deliver a load in Midway, GA I got a call from my TM.
My DM is out sick so he is taking her responsibilities and was doing the daily call to drivers. I hope that won't be an every day thing. He was lucky I answered the call at all because I don't like speaking on the phone while driving.

I mentioned that I needed my next load to get me to a terminal for a b-service, he said he would see what was out there to get me to Decatur. After I did my empty call I did a mac 30 and there were 2 loads. Both from the same place and delivering to the same place, the first delivering at 1230 on the 3rd and the second at 1830. Guess which one I picked?

It seems people at IGH don't have a problem with arranging loads sometimes. At Otay they would message a planner, but it didn't get done unless I was already on safety hold and they had no choice.

So I pick up in Florida tomorrow morning, then head to the Atlanta area.
And it has been SOOOO nice not being put back in the far west.

Oh terminal. Waiting in the prequel lane to get truck looked at for the 3rd. Same issue. Get a message on dash saying trailer disconnect. Lights all work. Feels like trailer has no brakes and the truck is doing all(barely) braking. Slc term replaced the plug on truck. Sparks replaced the cord.
Told dl this is the last time. If not fixed I want into another truck.
Off for the next 2 days.

Does the electrical connection have anything to do with the trailer brakes?

And good luck getting another truck simply by asking for it.
Your best bet for that is to take two weeks off so Swift makes you clean out the truck. Then when you come back you will be reassigned a different one.

Mechanic in sparks said the trailer abs works thru the electrical cord.
The brakes are run by air. Lol

After dark g do ner... Walked over to see how the truck is doing and mechanic said done. Replaced spare tire, coolant cap. Said everyrhi g looked good. Nothi g o. The dash came up nd they even hooked up to a trailer.
I get i.to it and few we go ds later the trailer disconnect is back on. This ti.e I showed him
So back into shop and after a few minutes he comes out and said the main shop has to go thru it. Said it be Wednesday b4 they look at it.
@Moosetek13 if shop takes to long they give me another truck. I think if I speak loud enough, lol, I can convince them me taking a truck into shop for the same reason is not beneficial for either of us. If I wasn't off the next 2 days... I be switching trucks now

What you're describing is a Qualcomm brain fart that has been happening intermittently for years on my truck. You can call the Qualcomm hotline and ask them to run an update which will stop the problem for months. Or you can clear the message under the trailer management tab and keep driving. You can't make money sitting in the shop while incompetent grease monkeys throw parts at your truck.

The problem with inadequate trailer braking is usually automatic brake adjusters not adjusting. On a flat surface release all brakes and apply 90 pounds of pedal pressure at least three times. The adjusters will make a clacking noise.
