Recently purchased an 05 T600 with a studio sleeper. The blower motor and sleeper lights werent working so I pulled the control panel off to have a look at the wiring. All of the wiring and plugs behind the panel are scorched and melted. Any idea what could have caused this? What will I be looking at price wise to have this fixed?

Someone was very lucky that truck didn't burn to the ground.

Honestly your best bet is probably to call the dealer and price out replacement harnesses. That wiring is beyond the point of just replacing the plugs. Its literally toast.

I'd also confirm all the fuses are the correct amperage. All too often some moron just jams a bigger fuse in and says its good to go.

The best thing to do is go to KW Stealership and order a complete harness for that section that needs to be replaced.

Sure you could repair the wires yourself, but the heat and fire could've and probably compromised the other wires around it.

The cause may be a wire overheated or someone plugged something into the DC outlet like a inverter or a high amperage appliance and it cooked the harness.

Whoever had the truck before is lucky it didn't catch on fire.

If you bought the truck from a Stealership I would take it back there and talk to the shop, maybe they'll cover the cost of the repair.
