Health/DOT medical question

Get a DOT physical on your own and find out. Some CVS Pharmacy's do them pretty cheap; I've heard from $88 to $100
Many, many truckers have had heart surgery and many other ailments and can still pass a DOT physical. Some are missing an arm, leg, or eye and can still pass ok.

 

You should be fine.

 

I might suggest finding a local doc that is DOT certified.

Won't take all that much time to go talk to them at least and see what they think. Explain the situation and what you want to do, then go from there.

 

Yup... Some even pass with itching and swelling of the hemorrhoids.
Seriously..... Don't think DOT will have any problem with you.

Keep health history to yourself
At DOT physical don’t offer that information. Just a excuse for them to deny or send you for more test$

 

Where I live that would be no big deal, maybe a heart/ stress test but that is all free up here.

If THAT condition no longer exists and surgery fixed it there is NO problem.

You are going to have a shirt off for this one. When the doc sees the cuts and understands what you have potentially had you explain it and be done with it. It's fixed. They can always prove it by mapping the diameter of the affected vessal with a sonogram in a few minutes. No pinch no problem.
