The SKY IS FALLING..................
Things like the oil field run in cycles...kinda like a sine wave...of course so does the economy in general.
My company has slowed down a bunch..but we haven't stopped.
The "Pain at the Pump"has eased up a bit, but the downside to that is that natural gas is in a downward turn as well.
Bottom line......we're in a downward cycle right now and we can look forward to betterdays in the future.
We've seen this before....we just tend to forget.

So true Red. This good times run has lasted a lot longer than in the past. Too many younger and even older folks think that they are entitled to good times. Doesn't work that way. This is bad and may get worse. But those that don't lose their heads and are willing to work some kind of job will be ok.

I agree, I am willing to work any kind of job that pays the bills.........
As long as I am not in a truck that might kill someone due to no money to repair it. I am sticking to small mom and pops companies from now on I believe. I have always had much better luck with them. -
Remember the oil field prayer: Please, Lord, let their be another energy boom. I promise not to piss this one away.

^hahahahaha
Right now I am happy to suck up the "stimulus" money being spent on road work. I miss the oil field but I #### sure love these paychecks, TxDOT is blowing every dime they have on road repairs which means rock buggy's running non stop. I run 5-6 loads a day and the cheapest one is pays $50 to the driver. -
Are things still booming in Texas? Are there any forseen problems with the current administration we have in Washington DC? Are you having to deal with the teamsters?
