There's a woman here in a Jim Palmer truck with a black cat.

What if we are over popularizing the tabby in trucking?

I don't think so. I got many people telling me they never seen a cat in a truck before. Many very happy to see a cat(!).
I tell them I love animals. Nuts about dogs. My cat is a Hemingway. They're travelers. Love her dearly.

Was wondering how these were working out for drivers...good to know. Purple is in my backyard in UT. Have you tried their beds as well?

Haven't tried their bed. Might someday.
I really like Utah. Extremely beautiful state.

Pray for me. Hoping I don't have to pay a $2K deductible on my homeowners insurance.
When I came home. Found we recently had a hail storm. One neighbor has a new roof. Another, shingles sitting on roof ready for replacement. Another's roof is getting replaced right now.

So I called insurance. Asked to have an inspector come out. Told them I don't trust businessmen around here. Ain't gonna ask any to look first. Want somebody expert. Give me an honest assessment. So they have a Claims company coming today at noon.
My roof is only about 5 years old for same reason. I'm hoping if he determines damage. It isn't so bad that leaking could occur. Want to put it off for next hail storm or one after that. Or possibly if sell the house. I can't see much. Can't see anything on neighbors roofs either. Only thing I can see is some sheet metal at base of my chimney obviously has been hit by hail.
I'm just hoping I don't have to shell out the two grand right now.
Also thought about just replacing with metal roof. Insurance would go down 15% if I did. But would cost me more. Might be good if I sold the house?

My roof failed miserably. Have to get it replaced... :biggrin_2552:... Doh!
Good part is. They're gonna replace the roof on storage shed too. So it will match the house perfectly. I already painted it the same.
Got a contractor already. No problem dealing with me not here. He does alot of these. Very good at dealing with the Claims people. Asked him about steel. He didn't think it would be good idea here. Won't match other houses and it's expensive. Not worth the cost. But he did offer a thicker shingle that would result in cutting my insurance bill. It takes hail better. Said it would cost me about $600. I think I'm gonna go for it.
So oh well.... I'm out $2600 on this. Need to get back to work.

Man, sorry to hear. When these hail storms come ripping through, the claims go nuts...

You had a great approach though going direct with the carrier vs the storm chasers

Yup... My roof is only about 5 or 6 years old for same reason. I really think I should get those thicker shingles.
Our insurance is as high as it is because of hail. Geesh...
I think that’s Sandy at the base of the mountain. Taken from my 4128994B-53DC-481D-ADE2-BA5A1B12F441.jpeg 4128994B-53DC-481D-ADE2-BA5A1B12F441.jpeg first OTR delivery.

Yeah, thicker shingles can be great especially when it's relatively cheap to upgrade like that option they're giving you.

I see the claims on this stuff when dealerships have to turn over their whole inventory that sits outside and gets pelted to death...nightmare status
