    While true that there is bio-diversity we are all the same species and have the same basic needs and similar bio-chemical responses. There is empirical data that shows there is no NEED for carbs, though certain people may benefit from them.

    I have had to do a lot of searching on my health problems because of all the pills being thrown to treat the symptoms of arthritis and have found that my food is my pill. Most of my pain will come from tainted food and carbs if that tells you anything. But after a couple of years I am older, walking upright, mostly pain free, lost @ 45 pounds this year and am really jealous when BBQing and will not eat what the rest do. It is not easy but taking back control of our own health is a good thing. Doctors want to stay in business, if you are healthy they have less business.

    Good for you. I have a lot of arthritis as well. At 39 I had both my knees replaced so being 130 pounds lighter makes a huge difference. Even with that if I eat carbs my joints will still ache. If I eat clean I have no problems. Given that I really think a carnivore diet would be highly beneficial for you. If you can restrict yourself to meat and eggs with occasional dairy I posit that you’ll feel much better in a relatively short period. Look up Dr. Shawn Baker on YouTube as he’s kind of leading the carnivore charge as an orthopedic surgeon. I’m a big fan of fasting too, so I’ll typically only eat once or twice per day, sometimes I just skip a day. Once you’re body is no longer dependent upon carbs fasting is rather easy. If you haven’t already I’d urge you to increase you salt intake significantly to offset some of the common side effects of a low carb diet.

    I avoid all foods that are crystal forming because them crystals go to all my old injuries and give me pain and inflammation. I do not miss any of them additives anymore and the food (whole) tastes just fine. My main problem if from the processed foods in this country, it just is a step away from sugar and the body does not have to work to turn it into fuel which is a process that is giving everyone trouble. the meat if I can get it right off the ranch I have no problem with, heck it is just like butter and the taste does not need any additives. Problem is eating a great diet when all the other food is compromised they will be looking at me. soylent green.
