Diesel Shop Per Hour Rates?

Dealer shops charge $150 an hour. That doesn't include parts and shop supplies.

 

My son charges $85. per hour,comes to your site,locally,50 mile radius. Union,but owns his own business,truck,tools,everything. Is an Operating Engineers Master Heavy Equipment mechanic. Always booked,way more work than he can handle,but he thinks the 85 is a fair rate,I know his customers are happy. And he makes a very good living. He has a couple of days a week where he is dedicated to one customers shop,other days,he has a clientele of regular long time customers,always needing dependable service.
Sets his own schedule,and he's home every night,with his wife and kids.
