I really enjoy driving a truck for a living. It's nice to be out, by myself, just getting stuff done.
I'm 50/50 split on my current job because I'm at the mercy of what the local construction/excavation contractors are up to. For the past month I've spent more time being bored out of my mind doing warehouse/yard monkey work than I have in the truck, and with the cold/rainy season coming upon is I'm not convinced it's going to pick up any time soon.
Are you happy with your job?

Yeah, some times it just doesn't pay to better yourself at the moment.rabbiporkchop and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
If I was still driving with a mega like I did when I was 18 for 2 years I would say no. Now in my early 30’s as an independent O/O doing 7 days on the road and 7 home hauling local. I can’t complain as I get decent hometime and get to see my family alomg with doing pretty well for a trucker.
