MS , the backing part was tight angle into a alley . Was a trainer there for several years . Just take your time , and don’t hit anything . Best of luck .

It’s a backing maneuver in between 2 trailers, easier and with more room than if you were backing in between 2 trucks at a truck stop.

Does EPES have driver facing cameras?
-
once again, from what I've been told, by someone still at the company, yes and no. They have a camera on you, but not always recording unless you do a 'critical event' then it is 'captured'. However, I don't know if I would 'trust' this or EPES for that matter. Would you want to work for a company that boasts about how much they care for their drivers, yet when Driver Appreciation Week comes around, none of the drivers, except local favorites, are actually at the cookout? Not to mention all the office staff winning the trucker GPS, tv's for the truck, etc? Yeah...alot of appreciation there, huh?

Yeah, I think every company is like that for driver appreciation week. We are always on the road, the office staff and shop eat like kings. If they want to show appreciation, toss the drivers $30 to go get steak and shrimp or something.
Either way, driver facing cameras = HAYDES no!

hmmm....sounds like you've been working for the wrong companies. My company has food everyday for all the drivers all week at all the terminals. They also do 'something special' for us. This year, from here on out, we get 4 points to the gallon at any Love's. A few years back they gave us 5 points to the gallon at any Pilot(still going on). They do have a 'drawing' for inspections each quarter. You are guaranteed, something during driver appreciation week at my current company.(I only say that becuase you never know what the future holds...I love it here, but something could totally change in 5 years.)I've heard good and bad when it comes to driver-facing cameras. I wouldn't mind it much if I was in a daycab, however, I only mind it when I'm in a sleeper and they can 'hear' what is going on. Not that I'm doing anything bad....but some guys like porn! hahaJarhed1964 Thanks this.

I really wanted to leave after 4-5 months of being there. Stuck it out for 4 years for resume purposes. That really helped me out alot. However, I did quit for 2 weeks and came back and had the best year(3rd year) you'll ever get out of that place. Then, beginning my 4th year, back to the same ole, same ole EPES...struggling to get a $1K a week...back to $800 week gross...per diem is the only thing that 'helped' but didn't help if wife and I would buy a house.
Cheap general freight for you.
