The new 2018 and 2019 FL trucks are pretty decent, very quiet. Same power as the older ones, just quiet. And I love the digital dash.

The Mack pic, I never drove a Mack that would do a tick under 100 @1550, and the steering wheel was on the other side,, and get some black tape for those warning lights,,
but I agree, Mack for the rough stuff, ( R model preferred) and Peter-Puller for gliding down the highway,,,but not t'other way 'round. Is that 2.6 mil on the Mack? I'd say it doesn't owe you anything.

The trick is that small engine doesn’t like reving high. The Ecm will let you rev it to 2100 but you shouldn’t really go past 1500 or up to 1900 when engine braking. Had the old timer company mechanic tell me that when I picked up the truck, said that’s normally why the engine breaks down because drivers rev it past 1900 even though KW manual says you’re ok to 2100. I’m no mechanic so I’ll tell his experienced advice over the truck manual.

You would be surprised how many drivers do not know how to drive their truck the right way.

    I just traded a Paccar MX13 for a Cummins X15.
Your right. I would've thought a smaller block would like higher revs. But it seems to be completely opposite. The MX13 didn't sound right over 1500 rpms. It liked 1100-1400. But the X15 is sounding great at 1700. Really liking it so far. It's almost like the motor is saying "come on is that all ya got"?

That Mack is beast;). That truck was bought for 15 grand and sure it has it’s issues, but it really doesn’t leave the county. The best part is it starts every morning, just like it’s suppssed to:).

The Pete on the Left is my buddy’s. It’s a ‘07 with a isx in it:puke:I’m pretty happy with the Kitty cat in mine:) (the white one)
