Good for you. You mentioned $155/day in the opening post...that’s extremely low.

 

Transland is probably a good place to get started. You can try other types of trucking later; most of us did it that way.

 

Schneider is not on a hiring freeze.... SNI recently began/restarted a company school in Indy....

 

BTW... That $155 a day company, that is BS pay.... consider it... even at an avg of 500 miles a day, divide 155 by 500 and you get .31cpm....

That said...it really isn't about the miles you will run, it is about what you make per mile...plus extras... I'd rather run at .59 plus bonus for 2000 miles avg, than .45 for 2,600 miles per week.... both are roughly same gross ( as an example )...but one is lot more road time.
