Hmm, good question, did they use a DPF in any other English countries in 05?? -
Volvo North America does interchange parts with their trucks made in Europe and other parts of the World.
A DPF is not a new invention that was only made for the North America truck market.
They been around and in use for the last 40 years on all different types of vehicles.
Just because there's a telltale there that doesn't light up doesn't mean it's applicable to your particular truck.Last edited: Oct 8, 2018

Hi is it possible for to put a picture of your cluster on this post ? Thanks
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Instrument cluster could be replaced. Usually it's done by dealership and mileage should be corrected to the truck by connecting to the Volvo main computer. So always traceable.. You can verify mileage stored in ECM, VECU and instrument odometer.

I just found out by playing with the screen menu that the total distance shows different milage than the milage on main dashboard... why?Last edited: Oct 9, 2018

no lights stay on after ignition, I replaced a cluster on another truck that I own due to original cluster failed and lights stayed on and even got an ecm code telling me total distance error, but no codes whatsoever on this 2005 volvo….
