Amber Alert Issued in Florida for Missing Little Girl

I hope they find her safe and alive.

 

As do I.

I was watching Nancy Grace interview the dad and local law enforcement as well as news people tonight. The father appears to have been cleared of wrong doing. He passed a lie detector test.

My money is on his 17 yr old girlfriend/babysitter having some involvement. She could have been jealous of the love and affection he lavished on his daughter. Allegedly the babysitter didn't hear the little girl being taken from the bed even though she was sleeping in the same bed with the 5 year old girl and her 4 year old brother. She says the kids went to sleep at 10 PM, the dad says they went to bed at 8 PM. I'm guessing the dad wanted them in bed by 8 PM but she gave in to them and let them stay up later. Regardless her call to 911 did not occur immediately after she awoke. She actually called the dad first. That's just weird.

Also of note, in the town of 5300 there are 44 registered sex offenders. Many have reputations for abusing children. They are now being questioned by police and FBI.

 

Does anybody else find it weird that the fathers girlfriend is only 17? They don't mention his age though.
