You have on what I think both steers is a stressed bolt on the end of the stroke rod tying it to the actuator arm. That is one item that jumped out at me.

It really needed fresh paint, regardless of the purchase price. You have done a good job of rehabbing it. Good job!

... one of my friends found pictures that I posted only on this site of my truck listed for sale on Craigslist for 5k... Obviously it was some sort of scam. I dislike being associated in anyway shape or form of dishonest behavior. Especially when this truck in particular has custom paint and cannot be confused with another 359. When you're from a small town in rural Nebraska your character says a lot about who you are and what you represent. Whoever posted this scam not only knew what state to post it in but also which region of the state. The ad has been taken down but it's left me wondering if they posted the truck for sale and a potential buyer wanted to see it then maybe the scammer was/is looking to steal it... Which I sincerely hope they do... There would be No need for law enforcement to get involved if you get my drift.
It's a sad world we live in when others prey on people and use other people or pics or whatever at their disposal for their own greed...

    Be very careful.

I go by what I am trained regarding arkansas law and statues from simple battery on through aggs, theft and assaults, murder etc.

We have castle doctrine for curtiledge (Land you own) Home and business as well as vehicle. SO Mr bad guy breaks in or invades well. That's probably going to be the last time he will be doing that. But if he grabbed the TV out of my living room and ran before I get there and see him go into the woods well, i cannot shoot him over property. (Combined with a end of threat that is fleeing) Which is why if that door comes down we'll see how it goes. That is a deadline for him.

Examine laws in your state carefully. And I hope you never have that kind of trouble. Ever.

My solution? It's based on a half breed dog bigger than a man I remember in the meat plant shop at Fort Collins CO and get me one of those to have run of the land. Feed him less than what he needs at dinner. Anyone come through that fence... probably will not make it back to the fence anytime soon.

    Good luck to you.

The small can on the passenger side is a Luberfiner engine oil filter canister.

    Ya did good buying it.
As for the paint I can think of far worse ways to blow 7K. Looks #### nice.
Always happy to see one of these old workhorses back on the road after getting refreshed.

Thats strange because when I drained the canister old steering fluid came out not engine oil. And on the top of the canister it says Peterbilt and power steering resivour. Plus the hoses that go to and from the canister go to the power steering box not the engine.
