If it is a trailer can be used for hauling hazmat yes. We had a few old trailers used for local non haz that the placard holders were removed as was the inspection panel on the front. Only had the dot annual inspection sticker.
spindrift and ChicagoJohn Thank this. -
You beat me to the punch. A VIK is only required if the tank will be hauling hazmat. And the stickers can be on the front out on the sides near the front of the trailer.spindrift Thanks this.
-
Absolutely, forgot to mention that the trailer contains HazMat.
-
We have many tanks with
Non code sticker on the front
That in place of needing the vik, tuc and pressure inspections
Still need the annual inspectionChicagoJohn Thanks this. -
So, with HazMat, you have tanks with annual inspection only?
-
No, hazmat must have all inspections
Vik, tuc pressure and the annual -
And they must be located at the front of the trailer...
Looking for clarification on that one. -
Yes we have most on the front.
But also have brand tankers with the insp. Dates on the side but right up in the frontChicagoJohn Thanks this.
