The real answer .... Too Lazy to drop trailer
86scotty, TruckRunner and Ruthless Thank this. -
Right..the tax is same at every pump as the tax rates in that state. Where did he get that idea? Off road = less road tax but don't get caught burning it in your road trk. Different colored fuel . Pa. dips tanks here and there. Big $ fines so I've heard.

I do it regularly. Simply because it's cheaper, in fact much cheaper than the Pilot and Petro in town and it's right by my house. Since I drop my trailer and take the truck to the house it just makes the most sense financially. If authorized outside there is a limit but the way around that is to just over pay inside, fill up then get back the difference.
Rideandrepair and TruckRunner Thank this. -
There it is black and white. Never heard of that anywhere before. I too thought original post was mistaken

That's 4wheeler territory. I rather keep a distance whenever possible.

I know for a fact Arizona will actually write you a ticket for fueling and the regular gas stations. I found super cheap fuel out by casa grande and the attendant said no go. I asked why and she explained the tax thing. I think Arizona might be the only state though
