I have noticed lots of jobs coming back to the Midland/Odessa area. Maybe an oil boom is coming soon.

What's a good number, though? I'm think $85 a barrel and everyone can make good money.

75 in my head. 90 ish it gets real hectic out there. Problem is they can't ship out what they produce. There are oo ads on Craigslist. To pick up crude in West Texas and drive it 300 miles to where there is open space in pipelines.

That's no lie, the lines at the Pipeline Injection Points are ridiculous nowadays, never seen so many Oil truck in line waiting... The Oil Truck traffic as increased tremendously as well in the Big Lake / I-10 area.

If I recall, there is a bidding war on the new Light Sweet being shipped by the drillers at the moment.

Fracking is a temporary Coffee induced power. When that wears off, you better hope we are engaged in really deep drilling. Like 10 miles down.

You would think we have adopted Aussie Style Road trains by now. 6.00 mile pay on 5 semi trailers with MI style 5th wheels to a 1000 horse 2400 pound feet torque 18 speed planetary transmission. Just remember whatever input you put into that wheel needs about 10 to 12 seconds to travel the line.

I'll be the first to go. Aint there no one with bawls big enough to run them things and pay what it takes to do it right?

With all the craziness happening in the world right now, I won't be surprised if oil goes back up to $150 again.

I was out there in the last boon/bust cycle. When oil was $100 traffic was bad. Fatalities on the roads every day. I worked out Crane, you could see 10 rigs at night with naked eye when you were using the thief.
