International with ZF Meritor Freedomline malfunctions after warming up

    Sounds like a plan, relay swapping will probably be first thing to try. Wish we had a way to make a relay fail on demand to see if it created the problem. Are all the ignition related relays located behind glove box at the main fuse panel area?

    Yes, also check breaker or fuse F2-C, 30 amp, because it powers the ignition relay. Pull out the breaker or fuse and check to see if any of the terminals are melted from heat.

    HEY TR Did this work out? MY 04 ZF is dropping out of gear seemingly at random, wait an hour and she clicks back in and performs perfectly, until it quits again. Mines got a million shifts on it and its 14 years old, so may jsut be done.., but seems like an electronic glitch, which is actually a cheap fix,

    I have a 2010 international ProStar that gives me a system malfunction warning also after it goes through self test had a guy plug it up he told me his computer said it was the air regulator going to the transmission which he didn't seem that knowledgeable about it took it apart look perfect if anyone has any info
