Can anyone explain the reason for the passenger mirror above window?

    In my 07 Volvo I clipped a 3 foot post and tore up the fuel cover fairing. Wish I'd had one.

    Adjust it, just like all mirrors need adjusting.
    If I had a truck without that mirror, I would be adding it.

    They still make that window in the lower corner of the passenger door, our 2013 Kenworth, and 2018 Macks still have them.

    It's a placeholder for two bird perch antenna mounts. I use one for my cell phone booster antenna and one for my satellite radio antenna. I forget what I did with the mirror.

    Mine is fixed on my Pete.

    Well, I’ve been backing up just fine without one of those for 17 years now without one of those and never saw any real purpose for them, but if someone else is somehow helped by it I’m certainly not going to criticize.
