Im on the OP's side here.. Kid had an accident- NOT HIS FAULT- Cleared the Drug/alcohol screen- What More do you want? Sheesh.

The definition of a preventable accident virtually puts all accidents at fault with the driver. Very few reasons why the driver wouldn’t be at fault. The police go strictly by the law.... which is good. The companies go by what the driver could have or not have done to prevent the accident from occurring. Like it or not people, this is a fact. And yes the company will report it to d.a.c. And there are companies out there that don’t report or retrieve info from d.a.c.... but you will have an employment gap if you don’t list that company. If the company checks through IRS, which a lot does now, then they will know you falsified your ap. Not good, do like you said and don’t lie. Chances are actually good you will another job.
