I gotta wonder? More and more trucks on the side of the road.

Regen or not, most of the guys on the road today are just steering wheel holders. They set triangles out within ten feet of the truck so they don't have to walk far. Then the yahoo's that drive past don't get over and blow them down. It's like romper room out here anymore. I was just driving up 95 to Washington DC in that heavy rain Saturday morning and I see trucks 2 and 3 lanes out from the right going 45 miles per hour with hazards on..... WTF bro. Get over if you can't drive. No respect out here anymore. Guys just do what they feel like doing. Crazy..

Reading Qualcom messages???? Some companies will send messages
and expect the driver to pull over instantly and read what the college educated
ding dong sent. 90% of those messages could be avoided if the college
educated ding dong bothered to do his/her job in the first place....

I especially like the guys that direct traffic into the back of their trailer, with their triangles, instead of away from it. I guess I should be happy they have them though

I'd like to go with the regen crowd, except many of those trucks don't appear to be running, and the driver isn't visible.

I think a good number of them have had enough for the day, probably can't park so well, and just shut it down wherever.

I slept at a rest area on i-25 about a month ago. There was parallel parking on the right, on the left, and GIANT no parking painted in the middle.

Woke up about 0230 to take a leak, Swift and Werner both parked in the middle.

I usually run about 65 to 68 mph with my truck, keep it around 1600-1700 rpm's gives me my fuel economy. I eased up behind a Rig the other day and had to slow way down..... like down to 57 mph. When I got the opportunity to pass I noticed the driver leaning forward doing something with an electronic gadget up on the dash. It seems pretty common anymore to see drivers dick farting with some kind of gizmo when driving. Years ago our gizmo was the CB.

There used to be hundreds of guys shut down North and Northeast of Los Angeles by the side of the freeways.
Since they made that e log exemption so you can PC to safe haven, they've done away with a lot of those spot and put up no parking / tow away signs.

As a heavy equipment mechanic let me give out some advice. Learn to force regen your truck to %100. Partial regen's shorten the life of your DPF system and will increase the frequency of your regen cycles. Also always bost up your RPM's when your idling so your burning more particulates and keeping them out of your DPF.

No matter what you drive, the regs are the same. The triangles are written about in the green and white bible. They are a part of the legal responsibility that drivers have. YET, the majority have never invested the time to learn the regs.

Crying about the pay, yet unwilling to learn the rules.
