    howdy ya'll, hey i got a question 4 ya. its a dumb question, but im new at this. do i need a external speaker with the cobra 25 or uniden 68? does it have one built in?

    In that nuthouse they call California

    all cb radios have one built in. sometimes its better to get an external speaker so you can hear it better

    Not required, unless the existing speaker in the radio is blown. If the radio has talk back (you can hear yourself), you might have to put the external speaker on the other side of the cab, incase you decide to run one.

    I drive an 05 Freightliner and the Texas Ranger chrome speaker fits perfect in the cubby hole in front of me. I never tried using the cb's internal speaker.
