They showed up at a friend of mines place last year. At that time they had one guy for the whole area north of Sacramento to the oregon border he said he had like 1000 terminals to inspect. Maybe with the raise in taxes (new budget) they are getting more inspectors to get more revenue!

OOIDA sues CARB over Truck and Bus Regulation
“The California Air Resources Board has overstepped its bounds by requiring trucks from other states to be upgraded in order to operate in California,” says Jim Johnston, president and CEO of OOIDA. On Friday, Dec. 6, OOIDA filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, against CARB in connection with the agency’s controversial Truck and Bus Regulation.

Under fire, facing suit: CARB hears from truck owners

Already under fire from many in the trucking industry and facing a new lawsuit, the California Air Resources Board unveiled new exemptions and hinted it would consider other loopholes for its Truck and Bus Regulation last week.
