You made a comment in your first post, "Preferably run legal"

You as the driver decides how to run the load within your HOS. If you cannot meet your appointment time legally within the limitations of your HOS, you call dispatch and say this load will be there on this date and time legally or have it repowered by another truck that has hours to get it in. (Provided you are not late)

It's when you choose to run illegally off HOS is problems.

You can forget the top pay for the time being. If you make enough to cover all your monthly bills including your food etc. a little something to save up and some in your pocket, you are doing well. Trucking is feast and famine. Most people are misled by advertising top dollar by many fleets like children to a pied piper.

I was searching on Google and couldn’t find an answer. I have no experience that would give me the answer. It hasn’t been that long since I was weened from my parents and I don’t understand the industry completely. Was hoping you guys could fill me in.

I’m being sincere. I don’t think you have a legitimate answer.

The problem is so many new drivers are coming into the industry. Now think about this millennial generation and what they are noted for! You are generally not going to see me disparage a group like this. However this generation is noted for wanting things NOW and having little or no patience for that not happening!

Tb0n3, bryan21384 and Timmy Fran Thank this.

If you arent smart enough to figure out driving a CMV "uninsured" because the sketchy company has you "insured" under someone else's name it's obvious you arent ready to be driving a truck if you cant figure out that's a bad idea...

    Have a great day.

You could tell me what I asked for, and then I could make my own opinion. Doesn’t that sound nice?

Your prof pic makes you look like a millennial chic. That’s not true?

    It’s high expectations.

I’m tired of everyone’s basic grade school rules.
If I can drive a truck now, or after a couple weeks perfectly fine. Don’t waste 2 years of my life for me to “get experience”.

High expectations make for a bumby ride. I understand that. I’d like help understanding the ins and outs to make it possible for me how I’d like. I want to make my own opinion with information I don’t have yet. That’s why I’m here, to learn, not to be taught opinions.

A partially helpful answer could have been: In fleet insurance it wouldn’t make a difference in a law enforcement situation because the “name is not on the insurance” and that means when you have an accident you better hope ( this would be an opinion) your insurance doesn’t find out you weren’t the one driving because etc.... this helps me! I’d like to know what happens.

Anyway your answers have been helpful already. Thanks @Tb0n3 & @Chinatown I’ll look for higher paying jobs through craigslist. Hopefully I can get something where they don’t require 3 years of experience. & don’t give up on us millennials!
