How many of you guys use those speed steering knob things? I test drove my truck today and it has one attached. Most of the time it was in the way of my arm just going straight, but when I tried it navigating the lot at slow speed it was pretty convenient.
Any opinions?

You talking about a suicide knob?
-
LOL I guess... so the answer's in the name?
-
That's just what some people call em, a tractor that I used had one, makes steering alot easier, but I know that some states have banned emPharmPhail Thanks this.

Suicide knob is the slang term for 'em, and that is how they got 'em. Definitely not for driving straight down the road. I've never used one in a big truck, but in a farm tractor they're definitely very useful.

Here, I found an article, albeit a small one on em

yay, chattin and steering. See why all these cell phone laws are funny? Truckers have been way ahead of their time!

I used to have a spinner in my truck im running now but it ended up getting in the way and kept hitting my knuckles on it so I took it off. It was nice sometimes in tight backing situations but I can do the same thing with my hands and wont bust my knuckles on the #### thing.

Get 2 sucide knobs, flip them upside down, put them under your steering wheel, make sure there 6 in. apart, now you can drive with your knees and use your hands for eating and talking on the phone.
