It's Official, No More Cat Truck Engines

im a diehard cat man, but all i see in this picture is fuel going out the stacks, black smoke does not exactly mean power.....

anybody familier with "tonys desiel" out of souix falls SD? they have built our last 2 engines (B model, and a big cam II)top to bottem, pumps and all, they were setup 50% over stock but guess what?

they dint smoke like this picture, i have no idea what this truck in the pic has in it, or what it has done to it, im jus layin down my .02

 

Mine can smoke like that with a bit of turbo lag,pulling on a hill it burns clean.
I think Martin has it smoking like that for the photo.
As for yours 50% over stock I would think it would smoke with a bit of turbo lag????

 

I have both a 3406E and a 12.7 Cruisepower Troit

Hands down the CAT wins. I love it.

The Troit feel gutless when I drive it.

Plus the CAT gets better mileage than the Troit on the same run (TX to MO)

 

the pic of 550's w9 brings tears to my eyes,boost wires r nice aint they?

 

Theres no boost wire there buddy just lots of fuel.

 

I drove a KW with a 3406B loved that truck.....loved the sound of the idle very distinctive.
