well the governed trucks are a little tricky, but if ya can't totally pass on your own, maybe stay in line and stay at a steady pace. that always makes better time i seem to find out. not be a hater of anyone. and its a little safer that way

I have a problem with that, and you see it in Ohio. I live in Dayton by the way. You see lines of 10-15 trucks rolling 55 miles an hour, each one with about 15 feet of following distance between them. I don't know what the mentality of this is. It's dangerous, and I refuse to participate in this. About ten years ago, right about the 15 mile marker on I70, there a bunch of guys doing this headed east bound in the fog. The lead driver came on stopped traffic, and a massive pile up resulted. I wish I still had the news article and photos that appeared in my hometown paper. I'm pretty sure 5, maybe more drivers lost their lives that day. It was ugly. The company I was driving for at the time had a terminal at exit 14, so I got a first hand look at the whole ordeal.

My truck is governed to 67, the fastest I drive is 65. That leaves me with a few MPH to pass if I come up on a truck that is barely going slower than me. when i was in a 62 MPh truck I only did 60 unless I was passing.

Going a few MPh slower than your truck will allow makes passing a lot easier!

If I ran 2 mph slower than my governor I'd have to run with my four ways on.

well, the following distance of 15 feet is just a wreck waiting to happen.i'm from the cincinnati area and as far as the wreck that happened in the fog, i would have hoped that there was a fellow driver on the cb warning of stopped traffic, and or slowing down to a safe speed in the fog. that load your hauling is not worth your life or someone elses. not being a hater just want all to be safe

Well Ohio has been in the talks in the government about lifting the 55mph speed limit statewide. From the sounds of it, it will be lifted hoping by summertime cause its really boring driving through ohio at 55-60... well ohios boring anyway ya put it I guess .

I got a 62 mph truck, live in Ohio, and drive through there every other day. They don't enforce the 55 mph speed limit, unless you are in a construction zone. There you better slow it down. I drive across 70 running top speed and wave at the bears sitting there running radar. In 12 years I've only had one pull out and come after me, and only because I was wearing a black shirt and he insisted I wasn't wearing my seat belt, and I insisted I was. We argued over it for about 5 minutes, he looked at my log book and turn me loose with no ticket.

I took these just this last week. This all started out at about the 141 stick, but I didnt get the camera out untill I was 2 miles into what turned out to be a 6 mile parade. Please enjoy.
