Agreed. Get quite a lot of service there also. Not the cheapest in service either. Usually get a loaner car to drive home and back. But i realize i am paying for that also.

They are all over priced. That’s why you only use the dealer to get part numbers. Then by the parts you need over the internet. You never buy parts from the dealer unless you absolutely need the part that day. There is a guy on here that has access to peterbilt parts somehow that has given me part numbers as well with my vin. Wish this access was for public use to. Why does part numbers have to be top secret based off of vin?

The fact is, the day is just about gone where a parts guy actually cares about his product and knows anything. Today’s parts guy relies upon just entering your vin into a computer, and the computer telling him what part you need.

Reminds me a of a few years ago when I blew a small coolant hose within sight of a Advace Auto. Told the parts guy I needed a 1” hose with a 90deg bend in it. After telling him what it went on (Freightliner), he promptly told me they had no such thing. I finally talked him into letting me behind the counter to look at their hose selection. I found a hose that was 1” and had all kind of bends in it. I told him I would take it, and it blew his mind that I could cut a 90deg section out of it and make it work. He just kept telling me that the hose fit a Honda and wouldn’t work on a FL. I just told him to shut up and sell me the hose. That boy didn’t have a clue.

Sorry I can’t help, 99.9% of today’s parts guys are idiots.
