I would have not only duct taped those little darlings mouths. I probably would have hog tied a few of them too lol. It's a good thing I am not a bus driver. :biggrin_2556:

You couldn't pay me enough to look after a whole league of somebody else's little tyrants. :biggrin_2559:

But I don't think this was the answer either.

I notice this more and more
But it looks like the kids are allowed to run wild now days
    Probably because they are un-controllable
When I was a kid with an hour ride both ways(bare foot LOL) we had assigned seats, but we had fear that the driver would call home if we were bad
With the self esteem police hollering don't punish your kids, hug them!!!!!
    Thats out the door

I like freight that doesnt jump around, shout and scream. I would go crazy with a bunch of unruly children.
One of my friends filled in for a semester driving school bus. He took away their toys if they were being disruptive with them. They all went into a big box at the front of the bus. The parents were horrified, and thought he was going to take them home for his own children. At the end of the semester, the kids got their confiscated toys back.
I dunno, sometimes with traffic and all its bad enough without the background chaos!

I drove school Bus for about 6 years- for CD School District- I had good runs-and for the most part-Kids.
Usually some of the bulk got off right away(apt. complex) Actually the kids are pretty good....its the 100+ drivers that you come in contact with on a daily basis... the rest is pretty enjoyable!:biggrin_2554:

Too bad the parents can't see that it's THEIR fault their children act up so badly. Doesn't anyone teach their children to behave any more?

My daughter started walking back and forth to school in high school because it was so noisy and rambunctious on the bus. It drove her nuts. It was a long walk but much more peaceful, that's for sure.

You could NEVER pay me enough to drive a school bus!!!

I drove school bus in Springfield IL. We got zero support from most parents and the school district and the kids knew it. As a result it could be a real nightmare. When someone actually did try to do something they would get critized in the media and everywhere else. You should have seen the controversy when an assistant principal cleared a bus. A driver called in that the kids where out of control word got back to the school who instructed the driver to return. When the bus got back the assistant principal came out and took every single student to the office. The bus left empty and the parents had to come get the students. It was a big deal, but we didn't have any problems getting the "little darlings" to behave after that.

In another case a student beat up a driver. The parents refused to believe it, but dad had to shut up when they showed the film from the onboard camera.

my bus driver used to put the fear of God into us on the bus. we did not dare cross her or we would be walking to school. the kids these days are not being taught to respect anything. all they have to do is cry foul and childrens services is right there to take their side. Parents are scared to discipline their children. My wife and i just went through this a few months ago with the babysitter. thankfully, we were completely cleared of all charges.
