When I worked for the company as a driver I wouldn’t be doing it for less then $100, but I’m working for the rate right now and the company is not responsible for my pay, they just trying to provide best rates they could. All they can do now is to request the broker to pay some extra, but no guarantee that he do so.
What if receiver left empty pallets or trash in your trailer

Irregular pallets aren't worth enough for the nuisance that they are, I've got a bunch in my garage to put things on.
Costco only accepts product on PECO where the company sends it, we pick up a small load at intervals, and that's all its used for, I actually took an empty to restack a pallet at our Brooklyn warehouse to deliver to New Jersey, someone in shipping was having a bad night, I guess.
There's lots of things aggravating about box freight, pallets and load locks being a big part of it. Washouts are another. -
Perhaps the shipper could be convinced to ship in a roll off dumpster?
BigDog Trucker and Tb0n3 Thank this. -

First scenario shippers used wrong wood Second scenario receiver has no space for it .. either way it’s not the delivering carriers fault and disposal should be added to the bill
laaylor Thanks this. -
I am a firm believer in your load your trash. That trailer was clean before i put your load in, it will be clean after your is out. I’m not empty until i’m empty & swept. Don’t want it on your dock, ok then you’ll get it infront of your dock.
See they bought the load, trash included. I’m not dumping, i’m delivering.stillwurkin, Highway Sailor, Tall Mike and 2 others Thank this. -
I'd push all that out the back where they unloaded me. If they say something, I'd tell them that they didn't finish the job of unloading the trailer, so I did. If they say something say when you order something from FedEx you don't take the item out of the box and give the box back to FedEx. It's all yours, trash included.
Or tell them 500 dollar disposal fee paid in cash or you're dumping it out the back.GreenPete359, stillwurkin, MACK E-6 and 2 others Thank this. -
Why not call your dispatcher and ask? Some drivers these days can't even use the bathroom by themselves without help from others.
Why not go back to the receiver and demand they clean out your trailer free of charge? It was their mess in the first place, wasn't it?Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
Are you allowed on the dock at this place? If so, that crap would stay on the dock. If not, in or near the dumpster.
Like @GreenPete359 said, their Amish firewood is their problem, and you’re not a trash company.stillwurkin, laaylor, BigDog Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
You have to pitch a fit and make them clean up their mess, or find a spot in their lot and finish your deliveryx1Heavy, Ivan_k, stillwurkin and 2 others Thank this.
