But you’re hourly, not OTR. That’s a heck of a sucky week. I hope to be there soon, even though I’m hourly now here.

 

You beat me, but I have been off three weeks escaping from Kommiefornia. Just now getting into a truck to go back to work.

 

I had to go local for family reasons. Sounds crazy but I miss the big miles doing OTR. I actually like driving.

 

I wish I could find a home daily job with more driving, but they just don't exist for me.

 

Wait, what? You local with Abilene now? Family reasons for having to go local - that’s a very familiar song. 2 weeks now for me. Not really digging it. They keep trying to work me 14 hours a day. What’s the point in “this opportunity will allow you to be home more and you’ll be able take care of things” when I really can’t and am more tired than before? Plus the yucky truck. It’s okay, but it’s not my Volvo for sure.

 

No, local to where I live in FL. I turned in my truck last month.

 

Wow, guess I missed that. Not surprised. I miss a lot lately. My life, for one thing. I know, I’m taking care of mother, but I sometimes feel a bit of resentment because my life has done a 180 because of it and I have absolutely zero time for myself or my husband. And trying to explain that to her and get her to hire someone has fallen on deaf ears.
