Out to 75 miles from plant is hourly and mileage pay after that, all on duty paid at rate.
Not complaining but at 65mph it's $38+ so we don't really want hourly.

Is Linde generally a union outfit? Specifically interested in Northern California. Tried to find some information but no dice.

No out of all the major cryo corporations out here. They don't have a lot of union terminals. For example if I'm not mistaken Air Products only has two union terminals. As for linde I know Vancouver is union. But it would be a solid guess to say nor Cal isnt

This corporate merger reminds me of that Tears for Fears song Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

Well lord, not to kick a dead horse directly in the face but what can you guys tell me about Air Products? Looking for what their hourly rate might be down in Los Angeles or the Bay Area. I guess I won't give too many details outside of the obvious but I've talked to them before and have heard amazing things. Peace

Typically they want seasoned drivers that can think on their feet, that will make good decisions .
On the road test just use all your skills and proceed at a methodical pace, just don't do any rolling stops or miss a rr crossing.

If you've made it that far your background came back good and if you've got driving experience it shouldbe a slam dunk.

Once you get past training and probation you're on your way to a lucrative career w/o the bs most all have to put up with.

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Had the interview. The Bosses in Canton seemed professional. They give me a lot of information on the schedule, job, etc.

The road test went pretty good. The tractor was a practically new Freightliner. The trailer was empty so the brakes were very touchy. lol.

They said they will let me know next week.
