Don't lease that's jus dumb, jus save for a year or two n buy a truck out right,,,, if you can't save money don't get into the biz, jus save money, create a idea or plan n go from there!!!!

Yup.
Swift lease deals are to die for.
That is why, after nearly 8 years with Swift, I am still a company driver.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -

In one month of running for yourself you’ll have enough saved up to rebuild the truck if you had to. You need to run some numbers before you assume the worst. Maintenance and repair costs are low for most part. And a truck doesn’t just break down daily with thousands of dollars in repairs weekly.
Once you go owner op you won’t go back.
Edit : as a matter of fact my truck just broke down I lost a month and 5 days of downtown. With repairs and a wedding plus waiting for parts etc. and here I took a load today from Salinas ca to Chicago for 7600$ Brought myself right back up -
7600 on a CA to IL load covered a full months income, a wedding, major truck repairs, and the expenses of that trip itself?
Those numbers dont make much sense. I suspect that you are not mentioning the hit to your savings, your new loan, or the fact that the wedding was at a notary public and your service was an oil change while you took a 5 week staycation in a house already paid for.stillwurkin Thanks this. -
Yeah that's what I was going to say. "Right back up?" Sure, before fuel, fixed costs, and variable costs. Must have been a cheap wedding.
-
Once again...... not my wedding.
2 I didn’t spend more than 7600 the month I was home even after insurance repairs money spent at bars lol. This is flying right over your head.
I’m not going to keep coming back onto this subject we’re in different standings.
I am a business... you work for a business
Until you work for yourself you won’t understand -
Why do you feel the urge to do lease purchase? You want to pick your own loads? Does that shiny new truck appeal to you? Do you think lease purchase drivers are better than company drivers? Well lease purchase drivers are only glorified company drivers. Most of the time, they fail so ......... I would advise you to ignore the urge. You'll make more, steady money driving someone else's truck, especially if you don't have $40000 or more in the bank
