    Anyone have a recent opinion on Crowder College in Missouri? I saw a reference to a skid pad on their website...is this part of the regular training?

    as we were returning from lunch we saw the other class which is in their 3rd week, doing ther skid pad. our trainer john stopped the bus so we could watch one guy go through. it must freak you out as a driver. hope to get the chance to do it myself in a few weeks. you can read my post just a few below you. it gives you day by day progress of my week 1 at crowder. start week 2 on monday

    Thanks jshepp, will do. I always feel better driving something if I know what it feels like on and over the edge.

    Attended their skid pad training ,through CFI, in a one day "drive through". Excellent training excercise, let's you see, in a controlled atmoshere", exactly how your truck will handle...w/wo trailer..good times.

    Sounds like fun once you get used to it. I'm only about 3 hours from Neosho so Crowder would be pretty convenient for me.

    our school just got back from the skid pad this week and it is very hands-on training you learn a lot in an 8.5 hr day and it can get scary at times just be patient and:biggrin_25516: LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN.....................:biggrin_2554:
