Most of the more successful holidays been running west where there is no traffic to speak of for thanksgiving prior to and after. I recall in one I did not see a car or truck for 40 hours on a number of two laners. -
I can remember one thanksgiving eve about 15 years ago where it took about 5 hours to drive up 35 from Georgetown to Waco
