I live in Tampa and work for a Oilfield service company in Hobbs NM, we are considered West Texas oilfield. If you have no experience your most likely going to need to come out here on your own and start applying. The jobs are on indeed, just start applying or show up to thier offices. It's all up to you to make it happen. The big checks are there. In my opinion oilfield service companies are the best jobs. They are more stable then trucking companies and offer the best benefits. I would look into Schlumberger, Halliburton, Nine Energy and BJ's or any other larg company. Good luck.

Do you have some PTO or some other paid time off where you could go out there for a few days to scope it out and get the apps filled out and turned in without quitting your current employment? Its very close to a sure thing out there with the shortage of people to fill the jobs........

 

Banners on fences everywhere asking for CDL drivers. Lots of them offer housing too.
