Love these protests , they about how its hurting the O/O and small outfits , but losing a days $ + the operating costs to drive in the protest is OK.
Good way to get PUBLIC support , tye up traffic with a TRUCK convoy protesting the FACT they can no longer SPEED . -
you said it Flatbed we have little or no public support as it is the last thing we need to do is tie up traffic on purpose, don't get me wrong I am against the speed limiters as well as most truck related laws I wish the law would just do a better job enforcing the speed limits with both cars and trucks.
P.S. the best way to get the public attention is for us all to stay home and after about a day when everyone is so happy to see no trucks on the road maybe they will notice there is no food at the store, and no gas at the pumps, than maybe we can ask for a little support -
This quote had me in hysterics:
Unless Mooney drives like a Frenchman from Milton to Oshawa? -

You should feature the Toronto Star's coverage of the protest, which featured the headline "Truck Protest Fizzles Out..." and states that a mere five trucks convoyed from Cambridge. As Const. Dave Woodford. observed, "Not even enough to interfere with traffic."
Unfortunately, the article doesn't clarify whether five trucks total came from both Cambridge and Bowmanville, or five came from one direction and a few more from the other, thus explaining the apparent contradiction between CTV's total of 12 trucks and the Toronto Star' total of five. -
